The MedTech Market Growth Program, a collaboration between LaunchVic and the Australian MedTech Manufacturing Centre, is supporting 20 start-ups to help bring their products to market.

LaunchVic, Victoria’s leading start-up agency, has announced the winners of its MedTech Market Growth Program, which aims to accelerate the growth of Victoria’s innovative medtech start-ups and provide them with vital support to scale their businesses on a global stage.

The MedTech Market Growth Program is designed to provide Victorian medtech start-ups with the resources and networks they need to expand internationally. Selected companies will benefit from personalized mentoring, access to global markets and the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders.

LaunchVic CEO Dr. Kate Cornick highlighted the importance of the program in stimulating innovation and economic development.

“Victoria is home to some of the most promising medical technology start-ups and our Medtech Market Growth Program is testament to our commitment to nurturing the sector. By providing targeted support, we aim to propel these companies to new heights and cement Victoria’s reputation as a global medical technology hub.”

The winners are:

• ABC Medtech: Specializing in non-invasive diagnostic tools.

• Health Tech SolutionsInnovations in wearable devices for chronic disease management.

• Bioino: Advances in bioprinting technologies for tissue engineering.

• Media PriDeveloping AI-driven applications to enhance patient care.

Highly commended at the 2022 Future of Ageing Awards, Lenexa Medical is among the winners for its personalized pressure ulcer and patient monitoring solutions.

Andromeda’s companion robot “Abi” talks to residents

Also on the list is Andromeda, a pioneer in the field of intuitive companion robots that use AI to learn from previous conversations and interact with you to build trust. Andromeda CEO and co-founder Grace Jones will be speaking at Inside Ageing’s Future of Ageing Conference in Sydney on 29 August.

Winners were selected based on their potential market impact, innovative solutions and readiness for international growth. Each winner will participate in an intensive growth accelerator program, gain insights from global medical technology experts and connect with potential investors and partners.
