Community leaders recognized

A longtime Campbell business owner, she is recognized as a community leader by both the Campbell Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Campbell Business Association (DCBA).

The chamber named Brooke Ramirez, owner of Bombshell Boutique, Citizen of the Year for her “outstanding contributions to the Campbell community,” and the DCBA said, It celebrates her contribution to “making a place.”

“Event by event, year by year, a rotating cast of characters worked together to create culture in downtown Campbell, and Brooke was one of those characters all along,” DCBA’s website states. It’s written on the website.

Bombshell Boutique will celebrate its 18th anniversary later this year. The women’s clothing store has been in downtown Campbell almost ever since.

Heart Matter, featuring vocalist Amy D and percussionist Dillon Vado, will perform at the Ainsley House Garden Concert on April 14th from 1.30pm.
Amy D and Vado are both from San Jose and currently live in Oakland. Heart Matter’s original compositions combine chamber music, Brazilian rhythms, and jazz improvisation.

Vaughn postpones show

Four-time Grammy Award winner Jimmie Vaughan and his Tilt-A-Whirl Band have rescheduled their show at Campbell’s Heritage Theater, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 6th. Ticket holders should mark their calendars for the new show date of Friday, October 4th. Vaughn’s new show dates remain available at 408-866-2700 or boxofficestaff@campbellca.gov. Heritage Theater is located in the Campbell Community Center, 1 W. Campbell Ave.
