Newly appointed Minister of State (Independent Charge), Jayant Chaudhary, was formally appointed as the head of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) yesterday. The ceremony, held at Kaushal Bhawan in New Delhi, marked a concerted effort to achieve the goals outlined in the Government of India’s 100 Day Agenda.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State (Independent Charge), MSDE Jayant Chaudhary said, “India has a large youth population that needs to be given opportunities to skill, reskill and upskill to fulfil their dreams. This is fully in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Vikshit Bharat’ (a developed India where every citizen has the opportunity to grow and contribute to the prosperity of the country). There is a constant demand for new industry-ready skills across sectors and I am confident that the Ministry’s relentless efforts will have a tangible impact on the skilling and employment landscape.”

The Ministry is committed to implementing strategic initiatives to close the skills gap.
Flagship schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and
National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). These programs are:
Enhance employability, foster entrepreneurship and equip individuals with essential skills
The knowledge you need to succeed in a rapidly changing job market.

Emphasis will be given to improving Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the country.
Ensuring state-of-the-art equipment and industrial facilities throughout the country;
The initiative aims to develop a workforce with the requisite skills.
To meet the demands of modern industry, the Ministry continues to
Increase international mobility by aligning skills development programs with global standards.
Promote opportunities for Indian talent on the international stage.
Through partnerships with international organizations and industries,
Increase opportunities for skilled workers to advance their careers overseas. By embracing digital technology,
Building platforms like SIDH (Skill India Digital Hub), strengthening infrastructure,
Through comprehensive skills training, MSDE aims to empower individuals and rapidly equip them with high levels of skills.
Impact Initiative.
