The Wolverines missed out on top safety target Jaydon Blair, who chose Notre Dame over Michigan. But could the Maize and Blue land a member of the Irish’s 2025 class, which is ranked in the top five in the country? According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, the Maize and Blue is buoyed by top-50 recruit and safety Ivan Taylor.

Michigan may soon be on the recruiting hot seat again. The pursuit of 5-star OT Andrew Babalola continues, with two On3 RPMs looking promising and new stats to add to the Wolverines’ big transfer momentum. Get the latest updates: https://t.co/k89heA1GNw pic.twitter.com/L7yw9sUfLj

Taylor, a Winter Garden, Fla., native, is ranked as the No. 2 safety and No. 41 overall recruit in 2025, which would be a big addition to Sherone Moore and the Michigan class.

Michigan and Alabama recently visited the 6-foot safety, the son of former NFL DB Ike Taylor, so it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Several insiders have debunked predictions that Taylor will attend the University of Michigan.
