Dele Alli’s impending move to Manchester City could give him the chance to return to the top flight, it has been reported.
In his first Premier League stint with Tottenham, Dele was able to express his natural talent on the big stage. He joined from then League One side MK Dons in 2015 and a year later scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in the Premier League.
Dele scored 67 goals and provided 59 assists in 269 games for Spurs, making him one of England’s most exciting attacking midfielders for some time.
However, he faltered at the very end of his spell, and things have only gotten worse since then.
The 37-cap England international moved to Everton, but has made just 13 appearances since January 2022, with a loan spell at Besiktas also falling through.
Off-field issues have also marred his career, and his poor form at Goodison Park has seen the Toffees retain him through the expiry of his contract (he is due to expire this summer). It’s hard to imagine wanting to do that, but according to reports, They are keen to update it.
Everton still have a chance of being relegated to the Championship as they teeter just above the drop zone.
However, it has been reported that Dele may be under consideration elsewhere to remain in the Premier League.

In fact, Manchester City are keen on West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta.
Recent reports suggest they continue to want him in the midst of an investigation into illegal gambling activities and could pull the trigger once he is released from the investigation.
If he leaves, the Hammers will need to sign an attacking midfield player.
and football.london It has been suggested that Dele may be being considered as Paqueta’s replacement.
They cite the fact that his current contract is about to expire as a reason why the club is looking at him to give him another chance.
If he stays at Everton and renews his contract, there is a chance he could fall into the Championship, but it could be good to see the attacking midfielder rise again.
But on this day he was a much better player than he should be playing in the second division and he needs to get back to his best form.
West Ham currently sit eighth in the Premier League and, as has been the trend in recent years, the Hammers will be in a better position than them, regardless of whether the Toffees remain in the top flight.
So Dele will be playing against better players at the London stadium, which could help him get back into form.
