The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (eDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, conducts the first season of Venture Studio, an entrepreneurship course that supports IIT Delhi students in their journey of building successful startups from scratch Did. This was organized in collaboration with some of his IIT Delhi alumni.
From a pool of more than 350 registrants, 40 students from diverse educational backgrounds were selected to participate in the first season. This course was designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to become successful entrepreneurs. The students were hand-picked for their passion, creativity and drive to make a difference in the entrepreneurial world.
Skills to navigate the startup ecosystem
Venture Studio Season-I’s curriculum takes great care to cover a wide range of topics important to entrepreneurship, including ideation, market research, business model development, financing strategy, product development, marketing, and scaling. It has been created. Through a combination of lectures, workshops, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical skills essential to navigating the complex startup ecosystem.
During the 8-week course, participants had the privilege of learning from the experience and insights of Pawan Raj Kumar (Co-founder and Lead Investor, Hoi Foods and Supa Star Foods), Priyank Garg (Managing Partner, IAN Alpha Fund), Pankaj Vermani (Founder, Clovia), Dipinder Sekhon (Founder, Kites AI), Alok Mittal (Co-founder and Managing Director, Indifi Technologies), TP Miglani (Founding Member, COGS), Gaurav Agarwal (Co-founder, 1mg), Shivani Kapoor (Co-founder, ThinkStartup) and Vivek Srivastava (Founder and CEO – HCAH India) are notable alumni of IIT Delhi who have successfully founded startups.
Each week, students participated in intensive sessions covering different aspects of creating and growing a startup, guided by experienced entrepreneurs who served as their mentors. The Venture Studio program concluded with Pitch Day. There, selected students presented their startup ideas in front of a panel of distinguished institute alumni including his partner Mr. Vikram Gupta, founder and managing partner of IvyCap Ventures. Ruchira Shukla, Head of Venture Capital South Asia. Vivek Kumar, Founder of Venture Garage. Ashish Padidar, Partner at Bellwether. and Priyank Garg, Managing Partner, IAN Alpha Fund. The students explained to the panel what they learned during the course and how they apply it to their planned or existing startups.
