Ascot Limited has added executive staff.
Singapore-based Ascott has announced six appointments across business development, strategy and operations to support its global expansion. Newly appointed to Ascott’s business development team are Vanessa Khoo, vice president of business development for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines and Vietnam; Teo Junrong, vice president of business development for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia; and Thomas Lamson, vice president of business development and product and technical services for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In addition, the company has appointed Joseph Wong as managing director for China; Steven Chan, vice president of global franchise services and regional general manager for Indochina; and Sophie Mogel, vice president of strategy and regional general manager for the Philippines and Malaysia.
Hyatt appoints two executives to EMEA. Hyatt has appointed two new senior vice presidents to support the company’s growth in the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region: Peter Norman, who has been with Hyatt in the region since 2006, has been named senior vice president of corporate development and owner relations for EAME, and Felicity Black-Roberts, who served as vice president of development for Western Europe, has been promoted to senior vice president of development for EAME.
Main Street promotes new executives.
Stockbridge, Massachusetts-based MainStreet Hospitality has promoted Scott Williams to chief development and brand officer. Williams joined MainStreet in 2021 and previously served as president of marketing agency Nantucket Project, leading efforts for Commune Hotels & Resorts, Morgans Hotel Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Prior to the hospitality industry, he spent his career in television, including creative and production roles at CBS, ESPN and HBO.
Remington appoints new SVP. Dallas-based Remington Hospitality has promoted Ted Peters to senior vice president of food and beverage. Peters has been with Remington for 16 years, most recently serving as vice president of B&F, and has previously worked as a chef in several hotels, including vice president of culinary operations and executive chef at Azurea at One Ocean Resort & Spa.
SH Hotels’ new CDO.
Coconut Grove, Fla.-based SH Hotels & Resorts has promoted Abey Bakaya to chief development officer. Bakaya has nearly 20 years of industry experience, working for brands such as Fairmont Raffles Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International before joining SH Hotels & Resorts in 2017. He most recently served as senior vice president of development.
Trinity expands its team in Europe.
Honolulu-based Trinity Investments has expanded its European leadership team with the appointment of Mai Kawashima as vice president of acquisitions, George Austin as director of strategic operations, Elia Antoniodaki as vice president of development and Andrea Hendrick as vice president of finance.
