Starring Arvind Krishna and Natasha Doshi, the film SIT (Special Investigation Unit) is directed by Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy and produced by S. Nagi Reddy, Tej Pari and Guntaka Sreenivas Reddy. The film is streaming on ZEE 5 since May 10. The crime, suspense and thrilling elements of the film have amazed the OTT audience. Director Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy expressed happiness over the fantastic response the film has received. He took the opportunity to look back on his journey in the film industry.
“I was born and brought up in Kadapa district. I did my schooling and college education there. We are a joint family. We were all in the same place. I know the plight of farmers. My father ensured that all of us got an education so that we don’t have to go through the hardships that he went through. After my graduation, I came to Hyderabad. I was a course coach at ICET and DF-Tech back then. I did my MPA from Central University. After that, I joined the industry. I have worked with various directors as an assistant and co-director.
I am making my directorial debut with the film SIT. My family didn’t want me to enter the film industry. But my brother supported me. He helped me to stay in the film industry. I have been in the industry for 15 years. This project started with financial support from my college friends. They suggested to me that this story would be better as a film rather than a web series. Nagi Reddy and Bal Reddy encouraged me from the beginning. We met producer Teja in Vizag through a friend. Srinivas, Ramesh and all of us made this film.
Arvind Krishna has done a great job in this film and his contribution will never be forgotten. Natasha has also played her role well. With the help of the actors and technicians, we have been able to make this film very well.
The film was made for OTT from the beginning, so we released it on a streaming platform. Finally, our film is on OTT. The response to the film has been great. People are enquiring about part 2 and 3. It seems like the film is being watched all across India. Currently, our film is ranked in the top 5 positions on ZEE 5. We are very happy with such a great response.”
