HAND (Human & Digital) is showcasing its Global Talent ID Registry at NAB 2024 (booth W3921). HAND’s Talent ID is a unique identifier standard that enables lower costs and accelerated revenue for legal, virtual, and fictional talent in entertainment, sports, music, gaming, and more. This identity intelligence technology is designed to automate the use of human resources for consent-based digital replicas while addressing threats to name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights from unauthorized AI-based deepfakes .
HAND’s B2B Talent ID Registry provides business intelligence via API and web UI. HAND’s public talent ID is interoperable, freely resolvable, has no expiration date, and is currently available in the media supply chain. The technology is available in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription model, providing subscribers with access to both an API and a web UI.
“The potential long-term damage to both individual talent NIL rights and brand intellectual property (of fictional characters) from deepfake technology and other generative AI-based applications is staggering,” HAND said Will Kress, CEO and founder of. “HAND’s interoperable Talent ID tracks, secures and automates the use of talent across the media supply chain by authenticating high-profile talent, their connected digital replicas and fictional characters.
