The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on June 18 that it will support the growth of 305 Korean startups and their expansion into overseas markets.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 18th that starting this month, it will support the growth and expansion into overseas markets of 305 Korean startups through collaboration programs with 11 global companies, including Google & Play and OpenAI.

The Global Business Cooperation Program is a program in which the Korean government and global companies work together to support Korean startups. The program was launched in 2019 as a window program for MSS and Google Play to foster Korean startups in the mobile sector.

Since then, the number of global companies collaborating has grown every year: this year, 11 companies are participating in the program: Google, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Dassault Systèmes, Ansys, Siemens, Oracle, IBM, Intel and OpenAI.

The number of startups supported has increased from 60 in 2019 to 305 this year.

MSS Minister Wu Ying-ju attended the 2024 Window Alumni Day hosted by Google Play and presented the Minister’s Commendation to Kim Ji-ha, Google Play Marketing Manager who has run the Window program.
