A memorial service for Dr. William F. Pickard, a funeral and special events at the Charles H. Wright Museum are planned.
Pickard, an entrepreneur, philanthropist and co-owner of Real Times Media and the Michigan Chronicle, died on Wednesday, June 12, at his home in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was 83 years old.

visit A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28th from noon to 5pm at Swanson Funeral Home, 14751 W. McNichols in Detroit.
“A Special Tribute Evening: Honoring Dr. William F. Pickard” It will be held at the Charles H. Wright Museum, 315 W. Warren in Detroit, on Friday, June 28th from 6-8pm.
funeral The funeral will be Saturday, June 29, at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church, 18700 James Couzens Freeway in Detroit. A family hour will be at 10 a.m. and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. An Omega service by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity will be at 10:30 a.m. and an Omega service by Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity will be at 10:45 a.m.
