Kiran Sewani, Chairperson, FLO Ahmedabad, stressed the importance of connecting visionary investors with dynamic entrepreneurs. She said it would provide a better understanding of the burgeoning startup ecosystem in the country. She added that investing in startups offers significant growth opportunities, especially for aspiring women investors with disposable income. This perspective is crucial as the startup scene in the region has seen impressive growth in recent years. Ahmedabad is now a hotspot for potential investors.
Phani Trivedi, head of FLO startup cell, said many women invest in stocks and mutual funds. Hence, venturing into startups could be a logical next step for them. Women can start with small capital and even form syndicates with friends.
