We are excited to put the final touches on FireFusion (November 5-7, 2024). This conference brings together operational and departmental leadership with technology, including technical tools, software, and programs designed to power fire. Services, understand departmental operations and logistics needs, provide a fresh perspective on the incident scene, and support internal and field accountability.
FireFusion is designed to connect speakers and vendors with a limited number of attendees, giving them the time they need to get answers and understanding of new technologies before returning to their departments. We will provide you with a memorable experience.

FireFusion’s schedule differs from past Firehouse conferences. It is designed to give you time to network with product and service providers and speakers, and engage in problem-solving discussions with other attendees. Sessions will provide unique insights and solutions that you can take back to other members and executives.
There will be a mix of interactive sessions. Technology-focused tailboard talk. City Hall. Breakout think tank session. The opening keynote speech sets the stage for the event. And the closing keynote brings together all aspects of FireFusion. Selected meals will be provided to attendees to ensure they don’t miss any events throughout the day and stay focused on the conference.
Some of the topics covered include incident command; Accountability and Human Resources Management Solutions. Artificial intelligence (AI) for training and daily tasks. Drones and robotics. High-tech tools and equipment. And how technology outside of firefighting operations will impact emergency scenes.
charleston sofa superstore fire
A special session on November 6 will look at the Couch Superstore fire from the perspective of those who responded to the June 18, 2007 fire that claimed the lives of nine firefighters in Charleston. Participating speakers will discuss the fires and how the adoption of technology in their aftermath is a step toward making the Charleston Fire Department (CFD) and the region a model for others to explore ideas and best practices. I’ll talk about that.
Limited spots are available for an interactive walkthrough of the Charleston Sofa Super Store fire scene. fire department Dr. David Griffin, contributing editor and Leadership Lessons columnist; CFD Deputy Chief Griffin was the first engine driver to respond that tragic day. He and other survivors will guide you through the scene so he can learn about one of the most historic fire incidents.
