Fierce Foundry has introduced a new venture studio focused on supporting female founders in the femtech industry. The new initiative aims to address funding disparities and provide women-led startups with a structured path from idea to exit.
“Fierce Foundry is on a mission to break down barriers, redefine femtech entrepreneurship, and further invest in all women and the economy,” said Melissa Wallace, founder and CEO of Fierce Foundry. “By co-founding companies led by strong female founders, we will unlock the full potential of innovation in women’s health and wellness. Ultimately, this will drive more exits and, in turn, investment in women around the world – the individuals who benefit from female founders and the products they build.”
The Venture Studio will address important areas such as the future of investing in women and its impact on society, the challenges women face in late-stage venture capital funding, and the potential for the studio model to revolutionize opportunities for women in tech. It will also focus on the role that women-founded health and wellness tech companies can play in closing the gender gap in healthcare.
Fierce Foundry develops ideas in-house, matches them with the right founders, and supports their advancement through a structured, four-stage process. This hands-on approach is designed to provide female founders with the resources, mentorship, and capital they need to succeed.
Melissa Wallace has decades of experience in technology startups and entrepreneurship and leads the Fierce Foundry team, which also includes members of the recently closed FemHealth Founders accelerator, bringing extensive experience in venture capital, technology and healthcare to support the mission.
