Isha Ambani Piramal wore the first bespoke couture sari designed by Schiaparelli and the jury is still out on whether it was a hit or a flop.
The billionaire heiress opted for a blue saree from the Italian haute couture house, which she paired with a silver blouse and polki jewellery.
Isha Ambani is not the first in her family to wear Schiaparelli, but she is the first to wear a sari from the fashion house: her mother Nita Ambani also opted for Schiaparelli pieces for several events prior to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding.

Isha Ambani’s look has garnered mixed reactions on social media, with some calling her stunning while others criticised the picture for being overly Photoshopped.
“This look is iconic,” one Instagram user wrote in the comments section.
“I love Schiaparelli but I don’t like this at all,” one Reddit commenter said.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will be getting married in Mumbai on July 12. The couple’s sangeet will be held today at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.
The guest list for tonight’s celebrations includes Aalia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Khushi Kapoor, Vedant Raina, Javed Jaffrey, Ananya Panday and the list goes on and on.
Sara Ali Khan, Genelia and Ritesh Deshmukh, Shanaya Kapoor and Navya Naveli Nanda were also snapped arriving at NMACC.
The sangeet event, titled “Celebration of Hearts”, is also expected to include a performance by Justin Bieber, who was spotted outside Mumbai airport a few days ago.
Anant Ambani is the second son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani, while Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant.
Their pre-wedding festivities began with a three-day party in March in Jamnagar, where the Ambani family owns a vast estate. The guest list for the Jamnagar event included Bollywood stars as well as Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and several international dignitaries.
