There is a food culture for each season.
In the summer, seafood shacks, ice cream, and barbecues are common.
But another feature of summer is the abundance of fresh, locally grown produce available at farmers’ markets.
While some local farmers markets are open year-round, summer is definitely farmers market season.
Farmers market season is well underway, giving local foodies something to enjoy well into early fall, with some markets staying open through the colder months.
It goes without saying that fresh, local produce is delicious, but while you’re shopping, you can also enjoy delicious food from local food vendors and purchase unique, handmade goods from area artisans.
Additionally, select markets offer entertainment and activities.
Here are some of the farmers markets and stands around Greater Fall River where you can find fresh, locally grown produce this summer.
