For the first time in Jordan, the European Union Delegation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in partnership with the Government of Jordan represented by the Ministry of Investment, in cooperation with the Jordan European Business Association (JEBA), organized the European Union-Jordan Business Forum. Held under the patronage of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the inaugural forum brought together policymakers, local entrepreneurs, international investors, business support organizations, local and international financial institutions, and diplomatic missions to discuss ways to effectively mobilize EU investments in Jordan, in addition to supporting the established partnership between the EU and Jordan.

The Forum was represented by Engineer Rana Al Dababneh, Chief Corporate Communications and Sustainability Officer of Orange Jordan, who provided a detailed overview of the business model her company has adopted to transform from a provider to an enabler in supporting the Jordanian economy through investments during a panel discussion titled “Taking your business to new heights” within the session themed “Connectivity and the Digital Investment Sector”.

Al Dababneh elaborated on Orange Jordan’s business model, which revolves around investing in infrastructure, innovating services and supporting partners and customers. He explained that Orange Jordan has invested more than 1.6 billion Jordanian dinars since privatization in 2000 to be a supporter and partner of the Jordanian government. Most of these investments have been allocated to the development of the network, including fixed and mobile internet broadband and voice services, ensuring ultimate coverage and quality, including the latest high-capacity networks.

Orange Jordan, an active player in Jordan’s economic ecosystem and impacting the lives of thousands of Jordanian women and men through its long-standing strategic partnership with the EU, unveiled its journey of transformation from a provider to an enabler at the forum, which provided a platform for collaboration, partnerships and fruitful discussions fuelled by technology and innovation.

Together, the EU and Orange share a vision to empower and empower Jordanians, and their partnership has resulted in life-changing projects such as the ‘Innovation Space.’ Orange Jordan’s booth at the EU-Jordan Business Forum showcased AR products in addition to those from the Fabrication Lab, providing an opportunity to showcase the fruitful results of this project.

Orange Jordan concluded by stressing that as a telecommunications company that values public-private partnerships and works with institutions and organizations that share the same vision, the company will continue to invest in digital infrastructure, encourage sustainable practices and green technologies, and enable young women and men to benefit from these practices.
