Elvis Presley’s Iconic Blue Suede Shoes Sell for a Whopping $150,000 | Trending News

The legend of Elvis Presley has taken another step forward! The legendary blue suede shoes, featured in the hit song “Blue Suede Shoes” from his debut album, have been auctioned off for a staggering price of £120,000 ($150,000) (approximately Rs 12.6 million).

The bidding frenzy at Henry Aldridge & Son saw these iconic pieces of show business history set to launch at an impressive £55,000 (Rs 5,816,522), reflecting their status as enduring icons of 20th century pop culture.

A customer in California purchased the shoes. Henry Aldridge and his son Confirmed by CNN, these are Presley’s iconic blue suede shoes, featured prominently on the opening track of his 1956 debut album.

Auctioneers said Presley wore the shoes when he performed “I Want You, I Need You, I Love You” and “Hound Dog” on the Steve Allen Show in 1956. Presley later gave them to his friend Alan Fortas shortly before joining the U.S. Army in 1958. Jimmy Velvet, Presley’s close friend and founder of the Elvis Presley Museum, authenticated the shoes.

The auction included a certificate of authenticity signed by Jimmy Velvet and a letter from Alan Fortas detailing the night Presley gave him the shoes. According to the auction site, Fortas’ letter describes an all-night party at Graceland before Presley’s military induction in Memphis.

Celebration Offer

Refers to the visit Rainbow Roller Skating Rink After Presley returned from the army, he donated his unwanted clothes, and Fortus received a pair of size 10.5 blue suede shoes that night, which he has owned ever since.

Henry Aldridge & Son reported that another significant piece of music history was sold on the same day as Presley’s shoes: the outfit worn by rock legend Freddie Mercury in Queen’s music video for “I’m Going Slightly Mad” sold for £197,000 (roughly Rs 280 million), according to the auctioneers.
