Mr. Elton Frederick Afari, Chief Executive Officer of Equity Health Insurance, was honored along with other mentors at the prestigious Entrepreneurship with Bhola Ray closing event.

As part of Bola Ray’s efforts to express its gratitude to its mentors, Mr. Afari and others will be awarding 25 mentees for mentoring and mentoring in the recently concluded Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray. Recognized for outstanding contribution.

Bhola Ray emphasized that entrepreneurship extends beyond making a profit and focuses on creativity, risk-taking, and community impact. He praised the dedication and talent of the participating entrepreneurs and recognized their resilience in overcoming challenges and breaking through barriers.

In a moving speech at the closing dinner ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Project by Bora Ray, Mr. Bora Ray expressed deep gratitude and pride in the impact of this initiative on youth empowerment and entrepreneurship. . The event, organized in collaboration with EU Ambassadors, highlighted the transformative power of innovation and risk-taking in shaping a brighter future.

The “Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray” event is an initiative launched in December 2023 in Ghana in collaboration with the European Union to empower 25 worthy and innovative startups led by young entrepreneurs in the country. I aimed to give. As part of Bhola Ray’s 25th anniversary celebrations of media activities with the theme “Impact At 25”, the program provided comprehensive support including mentorship, training and funding to the selected entrepreneurs.

Throughout the three-month mentorship program, Afari will be working with KGL boss Alex Dadei, Leith & Company CEO Geoff Sower, EIB Network general manager Nana Yaa Sarpong and EU Goodwill Ambassador Victoria. -Joined other seasoned Ghanaian entrepreneurs such as Mr. Michaels and Mr. Ernest, Chairman of Special Ice Group. The event featured the announcement of the winners of a pitching competition where the most promising startups showcased their innovative ideas. Stephen Selorm Bedzrah, founder of MyCleanApp, was the winner, winning GHC10,000 in prize money and the opportunity to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Festival in Nigeria later this year.

Emmanuel Lucky Ardey, Founder and CEO of Aquaponic, and Wilson Niiquaye Djani, CEO of NIVERDE Foods, were awarded GHC6,000 and GHC4,000 respectively for their outstanding contributions. In addition, Maison Cart CEO Harriet Jizomakua and Glitz Events CEO Comfort Afro Bamireku will receive an autographed copy of Bola His Ray’s book ‘It Is Possible’ from Empire Ghana CEO Dorcas Adisi and each Awarded $100.

At the event, Bora Ray encouraged individuals to embrace entrepreneurship, pursue their dreams with determination and believe in their potential to achieve the impossible. The celebration was a testament to the impact of youth empowerment and innovation in building a brighter and more prosperous future for all.

The EU Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Ilchad Razali, also urged participants to focus on where they want to take their business, rather than where they come from.

He said: “This journey has brought you exposure. The European Union and I wish you every success, because your success is not about 25 jobs; it’s about what you do. “It’s about the dozens, hundreds, and thousands of jobs we create to transform society.” We build communities and change countries. ”
