Diddy’s ‘apology’ only because he got caught

Another day, another pathetic act by disgraced hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

On Sunday morning, Diddy posted a public apology video via Instagram after surveillance video surfaced showing him physically attacking his then-girlfriend. Kathy Ventura In 2016.

“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” Diddy said. “I’m sick.”

In the video, Diddy, wearing a tan shirt, appears exhausted, depressed and stressed, trying to explain himself.

“It’s so hard to look back on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you have to,” Diddy said, adding, “I went and sought professional help. I went to therapy and rehab. Now.”

Nowhere in the short video does he acknowledge Ventura by name or apologize directly to her. This “apology” was made to the general public and only appears to be in response to the recent backlash he has faced.

Translation: The reason we’re getting this histrionic “apology” is because he was held responsible in the court of public opinion. Over the past six months, Combs has repeatedly denied Ventura’s claims, but this latest video captures his stance.

The once-beloved producer and musician’s latest stunt was yet another example of how he can’t keep his foot from his mouth. It’s hard to take Diddy’s statements seriously at this point after several previous written attacks on his accusers.

Meredith Firetog, Ventura’s attorney who also represents other women who have sued Combs, said Diddy’s apology “is more about himself than it is about the many people he hurt.” said.

“When Kathy and several other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested the victims were looking for a payday,” Firetog said in a statement. “The fact that he was forced to ‘apologize’ for the first time after his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation and leaves no one shaken by his dishonest words. There will be no one there.”

Diddy apologizes for assaulting Cassie, says it was ‘a mess’

Dishonest is an understatement. Manipulative, desperate, and pathetic are the words that best describe Diddy’s recent social media behavior.

Just days before the disturbing video of the mogul assaulting Cassie was released, he left his followers with a cryptic Instagram post that read, “Time tells the truth.”

How ironic that less than a week after posting that post, he’s now having his words eaten up online.

If I were Diddy’s media representative, I would wisely ask him to stay off social media or remain silent until further notice – because anything else he said would be inflamed. Because it just adds salt to the wound.
