DG Daiwa Ventures has invested in three AI startups selected at YC W24 Demo Day, hosted by Y Combinator, held in April this year. This brings DGDV’s total investments in YC companies to 28.
YC is based in Silicon Valley and provides an accelerator program for early-stage startups. Since its founding in 2005, it has produced companies such as Airbnb, Dropbox, and Stripe. The success rate for Demo Day is low, at less than 2% of applicants. DGDV participates in Demo Day every time by invitation as an opportunity to meet promising startups early on.
The three companies in which DGDV has invested provide innovative solutions in their respective fields. Details of the three companies are as follows:
Magic Hour
Magic Hour offers AI video creation tools for creators on a subscription basis, and also supports the production of marketing videos, mainly for sports media.
Pump.co
Pump.co runs a group-buying service for cloud services for startups and aims to be the Costco of cloud services, leveraging group buying and AI to automate cost savings without the need for engineering effort.
Yoneda Lab
The Yoneda Laboratory is developing algorithms and software that use machine learning to rapidly optimize parameters such as temperature, concentration, and catalysts for compound synthesis.
DGDV’s previous investments in Y Combinator startups were listed in a press release last year.
