President Joe Biden is scheduled to give his first television interview since the presidential debate, but some are calling for him to step down as the Democratic presidential nominee.
ABC News confirmed Wednesday that Biden will be interviewed by “Good Morning America” and “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos.
Biden has come under fire and pressure from Democrats following his recent disastrous performance in a debate with former President Donald Trump. While his campaign had previously blamed his husky voice on a cold, Biden on Tuesday blamed his poor onstage performance on jet lag from a recent trip abroad.
