Google has added a new feature called Chrome Actions to help users save time when engaging with local businesses. For example, when you search for a restaurant, shortcut buttons will appear in the search results to help you quickly take actions like making a call, getting directions, reading reviews, etc. According to Google, the feature is currently available on Chrome for Android and will be coming to Chrome for iOS later this year.
Shortcut suggestions
The feature is available on both Android and iOS versions of Chrome. It adds a customized touch to your address bar, helping you navigate to websites based on the words you normally type. “For example, to see City Metro schedules, you’d normally type ‘schedule’ because that word is part of the site’s description,” Google explains. With the new shortcut suggestions, City Metro will now appear at the top of your search suggestions whenever you search for ‘schedule.’
