The growing obsession with filming anything and everything for Instagram Reels has some content creators going the extra mile, even risking their lives: from deadly car stunts to hanging from buildings, everything has been seen on the internet.

A new video has surfaced on social media of a group of youths who were stranded in the ocean while attempting a stunt in two Mahindra Thar vehicles in Gujarat. According to reports, the incident took place in Badreshwar in Kutch.

The viral video shows a group of boys on a red-and-white thaal vehicle getting trapped in strong ocean currents. User Priya Singh, who shared the video on X, wrote, “The boys had come to Gujarat to perform stunts in the ocean. But they came to their senses when the ocean exerted its magical powers. After much struggle, the vehicle was freed with the help of locals.”

The video, which was shared on June 23, has been viewed more than 70,000 times, with several social media users accusing the group of putting their lives at risk for Reels videos. In response, one user wrote, “Reels should be banned,” while another commented, “This is what happens when you make fun of nature.”

“Necessary measures should be taken,” a third user responded.

Last week, a video of youngsters performing risky stunts at an abandoned building near Sri Swaminarayan Temple in Jambulwadi, Pune, went viral. In the viral video, a young woman was seen hanging from a terrace and holding the boy’s hand to stop him from falling.
