Houston e-commerce scaleup acquires Amazon advertising partner

The Houston technology company has partnered with Amazon in a strategic acquisition, bringing its entire team on board.

Cart.com has acquired Amify, an Ohio-based company that provides optimization and advertising solutions. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Cart.com will provide all Amify employees, including founder Ethan McAfee, CEO Chris Mehrebi, and COO Christine McCambridge. I will be joining.

Health tech startup launches Houston study to improve recovery for stroke patients

A Houston-born company is enrolling patients in a study testing the effectiveness of nerve stimulation to improve outcomes for stroke survivors.

Dr. Kurt Gill and Joe Upchurch founded NeuraStasis in 2021 as part of the TMC Biodesign Fellowship Program.

“Joe and I both had experience working with stroke survivors in our lives, so the idea for the company took shape that year,” Gill told Innovation Map. It all started for Gill when a former college roommate suffered a stroke in his 20s.

Houston biopharmaceutical company Allterum Therapeutics has been awarded a $12 million product development grant from the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT).
