
On Saturday, April 20, the Caltech Entrepreneurial Forum returns with its fourth event in its 2023-2024 series, “Early Stage Funding: What Comes Before Pre-Seed,” bringing the conversation of entrepreneurial innovation to life? It will take on.
The forum, to be held at the Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics, promises to be an insightful dive into the evolving landscape of startup funding. This forum aims to address the pressing issues facing entrepreneurs today.

Highlights of the forum include keynote addresses from distinguished speakers Julie Schoenfeld, Caltech Physical Sciences Resident Entrepreneur, and Dr. Andrea Belz, associate dean for transformation initiatives in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Their expertise in solving complex problems in startup financing and entrepreneurship will provide participants with valuable insights.
Following the keynote, the event will feature a panel discussion with industry experts including Kevin Barrett, Managing Partner of Freeflow Ventures; This interactive session takes a deeper dive into funding strategies, success stories, and the evolving role of technology in the formation of entrepreneurial ventures.
The speaker lineup includes Alex Ballatori, co-founder and CEO of StrokeDx, Lynn Foster, founder and CEO of Z-Field Technologies, and Andy Tomat, managing director of Four Pillars, Inc. . These speakers have diverse experiences and perspectives that will add depth to the discussion on funding innovation and entrepreneurial success.
The coffee and networking opportunity will begin at 8 a.m., during which attendees will have the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and explore potential partnerships.Program starts at 9am and must end by 11:30am
