This prestigious event celebrates the incredible achievements and contributions of women founders and entrepreneurs across Africa. The AWIEF Awards recognize those who have driven inclusive economic growth and development through visionary leadership and innovative business practices.
AWIEF is a renowned pan-African organisation working towards women’s economic empowerment by bridging gender gaps and promoting business leadership and entrepreneurship across the continent.

Categories
Young Entrepreneur Award: The award is aimed at outstanding young female entrepreneurs (aged 18-35) who have built successful, sustainable businesses.
Technology Entrepreneur Award: Celebrating women who are using technology to drive innovation and make a big impact.
Agricultural Entrepreneur Award: It recognizes agricultural leaders who contribute to food security and environmental sustainability.
Creative Industries Award: It recognises excellence in film, music, entertainment, arts, fashion and media.
Empowerment Award: It is awarded to a woman who has made a significant impact in mentoring and empowering others.
Energy Entrepreneur Award: Highlight achievements in the oil, gas and renewable energy sectors.
Social Entrepreneur Award: For those who develop innovative solutions to social problems.
Lifetime Achievement Award: It celebrates women who have made lasting contributions across multiple disciplines and fields.
Save the Date
The 2024 AWIEF Awards winners will be honoured at a lavish awards ceremony and gala dinner to be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town, South Africa on 29 November 2024. The event will culminate the AWIEF2024 conference to be held on 28 and 29 November 2024.
