Metropolitan Collective Shapers, a youth empowerment organisation, is launching an entrepreneurship programme in KwaZulu-Natal and is calling for applications.
Established in 2021, the initiative aims to provide young entrepreneurs with the right skills and resources to help participants scale their businesses, create jobs within their communities, build networks, and facilitate market access for their businesses.
Following successful implementation in Polokwane and Tshwane, the rollout in KwaZulu-Natal is tailored to meet the unique needs of the region’s vibrant agricultural sector.
Participants will benefit from customized training modules that address not only soft skills but also the nuances and needs of specific segments of the local agriculture industry.
Plus, you’ll be coached by experienced business mentors who will provide ongoing guidance throughout the program.
Top performing companies will receive an injection of business capital, providing them with vital financial support to help them expand.
Additionally, it provides market access opportunities and connects participants to critical networks that drive business growth and sustainability.
To participate in the Metropolitan Collective Shapers programme, applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and permanently residing in South Africa.
The initiative prioritises historically disadvantaged businesses, including people with disabilities, and seeks businesses that are 100% South African youth-owned.
Companies must have been operating in the formal or informal agricultural sector in KwaZulu-Natal for at least 12 months and have directors fully dedicated to the business.
Importantly, the business must be an established entity that functions as the applicant’s primary business, not a part-time operation.
