Celebrate Juneteenth and Black Music Month by hosting our annual Good Soil Forum from June 13-15, 2024 at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas. The longtime entrepreneur and faith leader uses the Good Soil Forum as an opportunity to highlight the country’s society. In particular, Dallas’ thriving entrepreneurial, business, and cultural scene brings thousands of people and millions of dollars to the area. Dallas consistently ranks near the top of the nation’s annual economic survey for the North Texas region’s strong growth in small business growth, small business employment, and hourly wage growth.

It’s the first step in a multi-year plan to foster a space where inspiration and practical tools meet to fuel business growth and lasting success.”
This year’s theme is “Rhythms of Entrepreneurship,” where entrepreneurs will hear insights from visionary leaders and industry pioneers to help attendees navigate the entrepreneurial world with confidence and creativity. The initiative is centered around an entrepreneurial peer-to-peer platform that connects entrepreneurs on the platform with the coaching, technical support, services, and networks they need to grow their companies.
Pitch contest with capital of $500,000
Good Soil is partnering with Wells Fargo to bring back its annual Seed Capital Competition. This competition aims to guide entrepreneurs through the critical stages of business planning and proposals. To further empower underrepresented entrepreneurs by strengthening their skills in creating investable business plans and pitches, the competition boasts a total of $500,000 in grants, up from last year’s $250,000. It is the third highest seeding contest of its kind in the United States. .
To participate, entrepreneurs must join Good Soil’s Grow community by filling out an interest form on the Good Soil HQ app (free membership) by May 1, 2024. The final submission deadline is May 23rd, after which a panel of judges will select the finalists and present their pitches live on June 14th. The competition culminates in awarding seed grants to top applicants, with the first place winner receiving her $200,000 plus mentorship. From top business leaders. Other awards include second place she gets $100,000, third place she gets $75,000, best entry from Dallas gets her a $75,000 host award, and most improved participant gets her $75,000. Includes a $50,000 prize. The judges will evaluate the entries based on the soundness of the project, past performance, clarity on how the prize money will be used to grow the business, and the quality of the presentation.

Good Soil is dedicated to helping 1 million entrepreneurs generate $1 million in revenue over the next 10 years by providing networking and solutions to grow and expand their businesses. The first Good Soil event in Orlando last year attracted more than 2,500 entrepreneurs, and during that time organically about 5,000 small business owners and entrepreneurs joined the Good Soil Network. Today, the Good Soil app has over 20,000 members and continues to grow by giving entrepreneurs something tangible to help them grow.
