Billionaire businessman Anand Piramal drew praise on social media after he showed up to his brother-in-law’s pre-wedding dinner in a Toyota Camry. Among a crowd of Maybachs and Rolls Royces, Piramal’s Camry stood out. ₹With assets worth Rs 60 lakh, he has earned the title of a modest billionaire.
Anand Piramal is married to Isha Ambani, the daughter of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani, whose net worth is $119 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Meanwhile, Anand Piramal himself is the heir to the Piramal Group, whose father, Ajay Piramal, is estimated to have a net worth of over $3 billion.
The Ambanis hosted a dinner at their posh Mumbai residence Antilia on Friday night as part of the pre-wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Anand Piramal was photographed arriving at the venue in his beloved Toyota Camry, a sedan he has been spotted driving on several occasions earlier.

Last July, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal were photographed multiple times out and about in a Camry. The couple were seen visiting the Bombay Canteen in Mumbai’s Lower Parel in the modest car.
Meanwhile, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was also present at last night’s celebrations in Antilia. The Ambanis will also host a mass wedding for the underprivileged on July 2, 10 days before Mukesh Ambani’s second son Anant Ambani marries Radhika Merchant in Mumbai.
