The Cincinnati Bengals are making a significant financial investment of $100 million to $120 million to renovate Peiko Stadium, the team announced Tuesday.
State-of-the-art video and audio systems, suite and club lounge renovations, and concessions upgrades are some of the areas the team is focusing on in the renovation of Paycol Stadium.
“The Bengals continue to invest in our future here in Cincinnati,” said Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn. “We are fortunate to have a great stadium and are proud to invest in this great asset to make it a best-in-class facility. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate our annual season than by announcing these significant improvements that will make your game day experience even better. ”

The Bengals said construction of Peiko Stadium is scheduled to continue until 2026 and the project is backed by unanimous support from the remaining NFL owners and the league’s finance committee. The Bengals announced they have invested approximately $150 million in Paycole Stadium over the past few seasons, after spending $40 million in private investment to renovate the training room and locker room and bring the team an indoor training facility.

Cincinnati is in the midst of installing a new turf field at Peyco Stadium, which will be ready for next season. The county commission in December agreed to give the team $39 million in 2024 to repair and renovate Peiko Stadium. These improvements included a new playing surface, refurbished club seating, and an expansion of the plaza to improve access to and from the stadium.
The Bengals and Hamilton County are nearing the end of their current contract, which runs through June 2026. The Enquirer reported that negotiations between Hamilton County and the Bengals “have not progressed as quickly as team and county leaders had hoped.”
“We haven’t seen any progress in terms of moving forward with lease negotiations,” Bengals attorney Aaron Herzig told the Enquirer in April. “And we think the county is really questioning what it wants.”
The Bengals have a June 2025 deadline to decide whether to execute the first of five two-year extensions allowed in the lease.
