The road to this point has been full of challenges and accomplishments, including the rigorous process of applying for a loan from BFTP. “The application process itself was invaluable.” Hagberg said: “This has allowed us to refine our business model, refine our financial projections and lay a stronger foundation for future growth.”
Kafarin also emphasized the broader importance of support from BFTP. “This is not just about funding. It’s about becoming part of a vibrant network of entrepreneurs, advisors, and innovators who are working to create meaningful change. We are very excited about this opportunity. We are grateful and excited about what the future holds.”
Since the investment, CiviLink has brought Doug Kafferin into the company as head engineer, in addition to two part-time senior software developers, according to Kafferin and Hagberg.
CiviLink’s success and recent funding serves as a call to action for all entrepreneurs in the region looking for a little inspiration or a sign that now is the time.
