Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week inspires innovation

Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week is a May 7-9 event hosted by Nexus Louisiana that focuses on the perseverance, resilience, and aspirations of entrepreneurs and innovators. Located in Mid-City Tower, it will feature workshops, networking events, and panel discussions. Successful entrepreneurs share insights about their inventive and resilient journeys. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with the best in the industry.

Na’Tisha Natt, Director of Community Engagement and Marketing at Nexus Louisiana, highlights the event’s versatility in allowing attendees to engage in remote work and fostering community experiential, commercial and knowledge enrichment. Did. A unique feature is an interactive platform that enables meaningful conversations and the sharing of insights and expertise across a variety of disciplines. Participants have the potential to discover opportunities, establish partnerships, and accelerate business growth and success. Nexus Louisiana’s commitment is to foster innovative platforms and support technology-driven communities.

This year’s event begins with a coffee shop gathering, followed by training sessions from business experts. Advisors include Anna Dearman Kornick, Jordan Basham, Maameefua Koomson, Patti Dobrowolski, and her CEO of DisruptREADY.

Cultivating Entrepreneurship in Baton Rouge

These sessions delve into business essentials such as efficiency optimization, scaling techniques, and sophisticated decision-making processes.

Program and Events Manager Narcisse Burchell highlighted how participants can make a positive difference in their cities and businesses. This program provides networking opportunities across a variety of disciplines. Burchell advised participants to actively participate in the sessions as they could lead to breakthroughs in the industry. He encourages participants to continually learn how to enhance their problem-solving and decision-making processes in professional settings.

The event’s finale will be a high-stakes pitch session on May 9th where three selected Louisiana companies will win $100,000 in investment prizes and a berth to the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in Silicon Valley. We will compete for it. The grand prize winner may even take home a $1 million prize.

Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week aims to be a hub for professional connections and the dissemination of business wisdom for experienced business owners and emerging entrepreneurs alike. We offer workshops, panel discussions, and keynotes to foster entrepreneurship. Additionally, we aim to foster collaboration, encourage networking, build a thriving culture of entrepreneurship, and contribute to Baton Rouge’s ever-evolving business environment.

Natisha Nutt encourages participation, saying it is essential for the event to evolve each year. The entire event costs $100, with day passes available for $45.
