1. Actor Alec Baldwin’s “Lust” trial canceled
The actor’s manslaughter trial in New Mexico concluded on Friday, just two days after opening statements. Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer is considering a defense motion to dismiss the case due to a dispute over the bullets. The defense argues that the crime scene was poorly investigated and that the bullets, which would have linked Baldwin to the crime, were of inconsistent sizes. If convicted, Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison.
