Disrupt Africa is again asking the continent’s female entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and angel investors for their views on gender diversity in the tech ecosystem, and the results will be published as part of the second edition of its groundbreaking report on the subject.
The first event will be held in 2023.Diversity dividend: Exploring gender equality in Africa’s tech ecosystem” is the first in-depth study into gender equality, or the lack thereof, in Africa’s tech startup industry.
Key findings Of the nearly 2,500 African tech startups surveyed for the report, only 14.6 percent had a female co-founder and only 9.6 percent were led by a female CEO. The report has been downloaded more than 20,000 times.
Disrupt Africa will soon be releasing the second edition of ‘Diversity Dividend’, which will again feature the findings of a comprehensive survey conducted among women members of the entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem.
We are inviting women in the ecosystem to complete the following survey. There are separate surveys for founders and investors. Aggregated data from responses collected will be published in a report, but individual responses will remain anonymous.
