Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson He missed most of last year with a shoulder injury but is now recovering well.

The Colts are still being a bit cautious about the former Florida star, but according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, he’s basically back to 100 percent.

“He’s been here the better part of the last six weeks recovering from shoulder surgery and I’ve heard he’s fully recovered,” Fowler said on SportsCenter on Saturday morning. “He’s feeling good. He’s started off playing 10-20 minutes.” [yard] He started throwing passes early in the offseason, then picked up the pace and now he’s throwing passes of 50 and 60 yards.”

Richardson appeared in four games last season before a shoulder injury sidelined him. He passed for 577 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 136 yards and four scores.

Fowler said Anthony Richardson is still feeling a little soreness when throwing but is feeling good overall.

“It’s just a matter of him feeling a little bit of pain when he throws, so the Colts are going to be cautious in 11-man drills and OTAs, but he’s trending in a good direction,” Fowler said.

The Colts selected Richardson with the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Richardson was an up-and-down player at the University of Florida, but showed impressive athleticism that made him an attractive player to several teams in the draft.

Though viewed as a risk when drafted by the Colts due to his inconsistency, Richardson started well as a rookie last season before getting injured.

Anthony Richardson on whether he’ll change his playing style after rookie season injury

Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson He’s back on the practice field and leading the team in OTAs, and he doesn’t plan on changing his game despite missing most of last season due to shoulder surgery.

Richardson says he plans to be the dual-threat quarterback he’s always been, using every bit of athleticism he has. He’s as big as most linebackers, so why not drop his shoulder and gain some yards? What happened last October at home against the Titans surely won’t be repeated.

“I don’t think there was any way I could have avoided what happened to me,” Richardson told reporters at his news conference. “It was just a regular tackle. I was trying to brace myself for the fall, but my shoulder did it. There was nothing I could do about it.”
