A new study by BetMGM Casino used data from Google Trends to reveal which celebrities will be the most trending in each U.S. state in 2024.
The most searched-for celebrity was the top-trending entertainer in 13 states, but a celebrity like Taylor Swift only topped the list in two states (Kansas and Missouri).
Katy Perry ranked next as the most searched celebrity in Idaho, Nebraska and New Hampshire, and shared the crown with Billie Eilish and Ellen DeGeneres in Oregon.
Meanwhile, Midwesterners seem to be big fans of Demi Lovato, with her top search result in eight states, including Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and North Dakota.

However, the most searched celebrity of all was Miley Cyrus, taking the title in 13 states, including Indiana, Colorado, Wyoming, and of course, Montana.
But overall, California and New Jersey came out on top as the most celebrity-obsessed states.
In New Jersey, soccer players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Lionel Messi were particularly popular, ranking at the top of searches.
Meanwhile, in California, the brand maintained its image with searches for Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner.
The study used data from January 1 through the most recent June 10.
While Swift has been in the public eye for a while now with her global Eraser tour and recent album release, Americans still seem to be interested in other celebrities.
Cyrus has garnered a lot of attention this year, especially after her electrifying performance and stunning win at the 2024 Grammy Awards in February.
The “Used to Be Young” singer won Grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year for his smash hit “Flowers.”
These Grammy wins were her first, despite spending more than a decade in the music industry.
She also had a cameo role in the comedy film Drive Away Dolls He has released several musical collaborations, including Beyoncé’s “II Most Wanted.” Cowboy Carter album.
