For the second year in a row, Syracuse University will recognize the success of Orange business leaders around the world with the “CUSE50 Awards.” The annual celebration showcases the 50 fastest-growing companies founded or owned by Syracuse University alumni. Inaugural recipients include the CEO of a marketing agency, the owner of a party rental company, the founder of a creative event production company and many more.
Applications are now being accepted for the CUSE50 Alumni Entrepreneur Awards.
“Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Business runs one of the first collegiate entrepreneurship programs in the nation and has a longstanding tradition of supporting and enhancing the entrepreneurial aspirations of its students,” said Vice Provost Mike Haney. “The ‘CUSE50 Alumni Entrepreneurship Program’ is a natural extension of that tradition and a unique opportunity to connect alumni entrepreneurs with current students and faculty.”
Graduates of any school or college, graduates of Syracuse University’s executive education programs, and graduates of the entrepreneurial development program run by the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families are eligible and encouraged to apply.
“Syracuse University alumni are doing incredible work all over the world, and we are thrilled to recognize the business acumen they developed at Syracuse. What I’m most excited about is that our honorees will return to campus and impart their valuable insights to the next generation of Orange entrepreneurs,” said Tracy Burlock, Syracuse University’s chief advancement officer.
The winners will be recognized at the National Veterans Resource Center in the Daniel & Gail D’Aniello Building on campus on Thursday, Nov. 14. During their time on campus, ‘CUSE50 honorees will share their insights with each other and with current students as part of a series of campus engagement sessions planned during the ‘CUSE50 Symposium on Friday, Nov. 15.
