Alabama is currently in the running to land the five-star offensive tackle. On3 Recruitment Prediction Machine (RPM).
According to RPM, the Tide has a 63.2% chance of landing Haywood’s contract, and Oklahoma scout Josh McQuistion recorded experts predicting Alabama to win with 60% confidence.

Haywood, who stands 6-foot-4.75 and weighs 297 pounds, made a strong impression in Tuscaloosa after his official visit.
“It was amazing. It exceeded my expectations,” Haywood said. Bama Online. “[The highlight] “Everything was great. It was my first time there, so basically everything was great. The coaches, the players — Alabama itself was great.”
Alabama’s new offensive line coach, Chris Kapilovic, spent time with Haywood during his visit.
“He’s a great guy,” Haywood said of Kapilovic. “He was with me the whole time… He was there the whole time. He answered all the questions that needed to be answered, that kind of thing. He was a very down to earth guy, very humble.”

“An explosive, powerful offensive tackle with the best attributes for the position. Prior to his junior season, he was approximately 6’5″ and weighed 280 pounds. He has plus length and will be a long-term player at tackle. He has shown promising athleticism at camp, including an impressive shot put performance as a sophomore at 54’6.75″ and was a track and field standout. He carries these physical attributes functionally onto the field. He plays as a left tackle at Denton Ryan, one of the top high school programs producing talent in North Texas.”
