Cullen DeBoer is off to a strong start in recruiting for the Class of 2025, which will be his first official class as the Alabama Crimson Tide head football coach.
As of this writing, Alabama’s 2025 class is ranked No. 8 in the country by 247Sports with 10 committed players, six of whom are four-stars.
One thing DeBoer has yet to accomplish at Alabama, outside of coaching a game, is land a five-star recruit, but the Crimson Tide appear to be trending in the right direction in that regard.
Dijon Lee is a five-star cornerback recruit from Mission Viejo, Calif. He recently took an official visit to Tuscaloosa and made a big impact on the team.
“It went well. It was a great visit,” Lee told BamaOnline. “I communicated really well with the coaching staff. I had a really good time. I communicated really well with the players. I got to know Xavien Brown a little bit. I spoke with Domani.” [Jackson]”…It was a wonderful visit.”
Brown will be a freshman at Alabama this season after enrolling as a five-star cornerback last season. Jackson is also a five-star cornerback. He transferred from USC to Alabama to join the transition from Nick Saban to DeBoer.
It’s worth noting that Lee also took official visits to Washington, Texas A&M and Georgia, but he admitted he likes what Alabama can do for him developmentally.
“Like Xavien, I’ve looked at some of the players that are here at the school now and I’ve seen him improve a lot since he got here,” Lee explained, “That’s what really stood out to me.”
On3 currently believes there’s an 87% chance Lee will remain with the Tide, and he’s the No. 4 cornerback in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
