Alisa Ziberts, founder of Liquid360 and winner of the 2024 Next Generation Women Entrepreneur Award sponsored by Luzzatto Group at the Jerusalem Post Women’s Leadership Summit on March 27, said the idea to found her startup came from her youngest son. “I imagine security working perfectly, like in the movies,” she says. “I did it.” Ms. Ziberts saw numerous cameras installed in the hotel, and she thought hotel security would be able to find her daughter quickly. This episode inspired her to found Liquid360. Givertz provides examples of how to use the Liquid360 system effectively. “Imagine if the fire alarm goes off,” she says. “Instead of taking a paper plan out of the fire closet and putting it on the hood of the fire chief’s truck, now you can just pull out a tablet and see everything that’s going on inside in real time. Another benefit offered by Liquid360 is the short training period required for security staff to master the technology. This technology is much more user-friendly and appealing than standard security video surveillance.
Liquid360 is currently being tested in various pilot projects including the City of Jerusalem, the Israel Security Agency (Shabak), the IDF Defense Research and Development Directorate (Mafat), and is also being used in the United States.
Market worth $140 billion
Givertz said the physical security market is worth about $140 billion annually. Although a significant proportion of this is spent on human resources, business losses due to physical security failures are estimated at $1 trillion annually worldwide and $250 billion in the United States.
