Today, Comcast announced Houston as one of five cities where eligible small businesses can apply to the nationally recognized Comcast RISE program for the opportunity to receive business assistance grants. The program will provide a total of $500,000 in grants, as well as technology modifications, marketing support, media schedules, coaching sessions, and educational support.

From May 1st to May 31st, eligible businesses in Houston. Atlanta, Georgia. Southern Colorado. Jacksonville, Florida and Richmond, Virginia can apply for the opportunity to receive a grant package at www.ComcastRISE.com. A total of 500 businesses, 100 businesses per city, will be awarded business support grants including:

Coaching session – General business assessment and coaching that provides business owners with recommendations on how to grow their business.

educational resources – 12 months of access to online entrepreneurship courses, learning modules, and resources for small business owners.

Financial subsidy – $5,000 monetary grant.

Creative production and media – Turnkey production of 30-second TV commercials, plus media strategy consulting and a 180-day media placement schedule. (Taxes and other fees may apply to production and media services.)

Comcast Business Technology Transformation – Provides computer equipment, internet, voice, and cybersecurity services for 12 months. (Taxes and other fees may apply to technology modification services.)
