Calcalist has learned that Google plans to offer Mekorot’s m Clock system, which enables monitoring and management of infrastructure equipment. SaaS software enables remote access to operational data for municipalities and public infrastructure companies, such as water, electricity, and gas companies. It is an alternative to traditional monitoring methods and is compatible with various infrastructure sectors such as power, fuel, and communications.

Gil Grosskopf, deputy technical director at Mekolot, said: “Google will offer our solutions through a marketplace to facilitate remote operation. The initial interface will include our assistance, and later it will be an independent “The system will be available on the marketplace pending Google’s approval.”

“We anticipate three customer sales in the first year, and then we will make the necessary adjustments,” Grosskopf added. Mekolot has previously worked with leading technology companies such as Microsoft to develop a cloud for statistical data in the water sector. This initiative aims to share knowledge about precipitation, consumption, and the study of the climate crisis with academics and researchers.

Shay Mor, Director and Head of Public Sector and Defense at Google Cloud Israel, said: “The implementation of this cloud technology will not only accelerate innovation within Mekorot, but also introduce industry best practices to other water treatment organizations. It will be established.”
