EyeWay Vision, an Israeli company developing augmented reality (XR) glasses, has been acquired by VoxelSensors, a Belgian startup specializing in sensing technology.
Founded in 2014, EyeWay Vision is a pioneer in immersive XR glasses and has developed technologies such as advanced variable focus projection and laser-based eye trackers.
This technology delivers power efficiency that allows the glasses to be worn for extended periods of time, daytime visibility, and virtually pixel-free, photorealistic 5K images.
VoxelSensors plans to leverage Israeli R&D technology to improve its in-house development of XR devices and combine technologies from various industries, including consumer electronics, smartphones, and industrial applications.
Boris Greenberg, Vice President of XR Solutions at VoxelSensors, said:
“We believe that by integrating our technologies, the promise of wearable XR is one step closer to reality, and that strong use cases and truly immersive experiences will enable the growth of this market,” he said. I did.
“The acquisition of EyeWay Vision’s IP is an important milestone for VoxelSensors,” said Johannes Peeters, CEO of VoxelSensors.
“These technological advances have positioned us as a key player in the rapidly evolving spatial and empathetic computing market for mobile and XR devices,” he said. Masu.
“By combining our technologies, we can provide seamless and intuitive interactions in these domains, significantly improving the user experience while leveraging efficient SPAES sensors.”
