Intelligent data infrastructure company NetApp® (NASDAQ: NTAP) announces the graduation of five companies from its 12 startups.th Group for NetApp Excellerator, the flagship accelerator program, at Demo Day. His five data-driven deep technology startups – NEMA AI, Zeron, Chaos Genius, Kensu and Blockfenders – pitched to investors, industry leaders, mentors and NetApp’s leaders. Cohort 12 startups are focused on developing cutting-edge solutions in data management, neuroscience, and AI-based consumer insights. These ventures represent the growth of trends that are enabling a new era of business focused on data orchestration and optimization, as well as data security.
Over the past year, Gen AI has solidified its potential to automate tasks and drive product innovation. Today’s organizations, including startups, require secure, high-performance access to data distributed across complex hybrid and multicloud environments. At this point, NetApp’s approach to AI provides solutions that simplify management wherever data resides.

In line with this focus, startups co-founded by women, such as NEMA AI, Chaos Genius, and Zeron, are important contributors in addressing the challenges of our time. Ventures like NEMA AI have brought advances in neuroscience and AI-based consumer insights to reshape strategies across areas such as education, branding, and marketing. Additionally, Chaos Genius is at the forefront of data optimization, serving as a vital tool for Snowflake users and providing organizations with valuable insights for informed decision-making. Zeron, on the other hand, plays a pivotal role in cybersecurity, providing a single point of truth for informed decision-making.
Three out of five female graduates who co-founded startups have been mentored through NetApp ExcellerateHER, an initiative of the NetApp Excellerator program aimed at supporting women-led startups. Over the past seven years, NetApp has mentored a total of 77 startups, including her 29 global startups and her 18 women-led startups. Eight startups have successfully exited in the past five years.
NetApp’s Excellerator ecosystem of mentors, leaders, startups, and investors has driven significant advances in deep technology based on a shared vision. In total, the alumni’s startup companies have raised more than $360 million. This is proof of the program’s success.
Launched in 2017, the NetApp Excellerator program has been recognized as one of the top five corporate innovation accelerator programs in India by the NexTT Awards. The program features a proof-of-concept (PoC) model that allows entrepreneurs to demonstrate the effectiveness of their solutions in real-world scenarios.
From Cohort 12, Chaos Genius, Kensu, and Blockfenders completed PoCs with NetApp. Chaos Genius has revolutionized his NetApp approach to Snowflake expenses, increasing organizational efficiency through targeted advice, user-friendly design, and simple implementation. This reduced expenses by his 28%, delivering a 20x return on investment and undeniable operational efficiency benefits.
Kensu’s POC demonstrates the effectiveness of the AI-powered real-time data observation platform in addressing the challenges of ActiveIQ data lakes. By ingesting 10,000 tables in real time, Kensu quickly identifies bad data and ensures efficient management.
