Have you ever been late to the office for something really weird? Well, for this office-goer, his scooter was “updating”. Believe it or not, the man wasn’t joking at all. He even shared a video about X to support his claims.
“This is a completely new problem,” wrote EV owner Pratik Rai while sharing a video on the micro-blogging platform.
In the next few lines he said: “My boyfriend Ather started updating when I turned it on in the morning. I couldn’t move or go to work.”
“Like, I was late to the office because my scooter was being updated!” he further said.
The video shows the man trying to start the scooter, but it wouldn’t start as the scooter was undergoing an update.

The post was shared on X on April 2 and has since received more than 400,000 views and a flood of reactions from netizens. Some shared that they faced similar challenges with their scooters, while others commented on the situation in a hilarious way. Some people have shared tips on how to avoid this update.
“It’s like, ‘My Mac is updating so I’m going to be late for a meeting.’ It’s going to be pretty normal,” one person posted.
Another person said he was facing a similar situation. She said, “She had to pick up her mother from the station at 5:30 a.m., but she couldn’t reach the station on time, so I found out that Ather was updating.” I did.”
“I can’t join the meeting because of the Windows update. I can’t come to the office, it’s the scooter update,” joked a third man.
“It happened to me last week. I was already late for a meeting and the meeting didn’t start for more than 10 minutes. I also couldn’t cancel the update process,” a fourth user shared .
A fifth person said: “The same thing happened to me. Just press both the brake, self-start button, and indicator center button to restart.”
