Inishowen Innovation (ii) has appointed Lee Tedstone as the first ‘Entrepreneur in Residence’ for its Buncrana Hub, marking a significant milestone in ii’s mission to support the growth and development of start-ups and entrepreneurs in the Inishowen area.
Ted Stone brings his extensive experience and expertise to provide guidance, mentorship and support to start-ups and entrepreneurs. His volunteer work aims to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the region, driving economic growth and job creation.
With a successful career as an entrepreneur, industry domain expert and investor, Ted Stone brings a wealth of knowledge. As Entrepreneur in Residence, he will work closely with ii, offering start-ups and entrepreneurs access to his mentorship through a variety of opportunities. The appointment will be for an initial period of one year, after which another entrepreneur will take over the role to ensure a continuous supply of fresh ideas and expertise.
“I am thrilled to have been appointed Inishowen Innovation’s first Entrepreneur in Residence,” Mr Tedstone said. “I am passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and start-ups and believe they have the potential to be a driving force for innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.”
Anne-Marie McLaughlin, Innovation Manager at ii, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Lee as our first Entrepreneur in Residence. His expertise and experience will help to nurture and grow start-ups and entrepreneurs in the region, and his commitment to local businesses will play a key role in establishing Inishowen as a successful innovation ecosystem.”
