In a video shared by @brut.india Instagram, The baby elephant is caught in the middle of the river by a strong current as a man holds it while others gather nearby, preparing and working to free the baby from the swollen waters.

The six-week-old elephant became separated from its mother while trying to cross the fast-flowing Aiye River near Tsirang, Viral Press reported. Footage from June 30 shows the baby elephant struggling to keep its trunk above water as it approaches a bridge.
He was eventually led to safety with a rope around his waist, but was frightened by the crowds, and later tucked under a warm blanket at the wildlife rehabilitation centre.

The calf is currently receiving veterinary treatment and will be sent to Manas National Park for further rehabilitation before being released back into the wild.
Internet users praised the real-life heroes who rescued the baby elephant. Reacting to the video, one Instagram user commented: “Humanity lives. Kudos to this brave man.” Another commented: “Not all heroes wear capes,” while a third said: “Good people still exist. Today was a great day.”
