Among the top decliners were GE Power India Ltd. (down 8.31%), Energy Development Company Ltd. (down 4.02%), CESC Ltd. (down 1.71%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd. (down 1.47%), NLC India Ltd. (down 1.43%), RattanIndia Power Ltd. (down 1.15%), Torrent Power Ltd. (down 0.80%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd. (down 0.77%), Voltamp Transformers Ltd. (down 0.73%) and Hitachi Energy India Ltd. (down 0.69%).
At around 11:10 am, the NSE Nifty50 index was trading at 24,553.45, up 237.5 points, while the 30-stock BSE Sensex was trading at 80,671.72, up 774.38 points.
Tata Consultancy Services (up 4.1%), LTI Mindtree (up 3.93%), Wipro (up 3.58%), Shriram Finance (up 3.25%), Axis Bank (up 2.98%), Infosys (up 2.86%), HCL Technologies (up 2.72%), Tech Mahindra (up 2.7%), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.92%) and IndusInd Bank (up 1.15%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty index. On the other hand, Divis Laboratories (down 1.38%), Asian Paints (down 0.97%), Maruti Suzuki India (down 0.85%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.4%), Hindalco Industries (down 0.36%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (down 0.35%) and SBI Life Insurance (down 0.12%) were among those declining.
