Pakistan’s online recruitment platform Rozee.com today announced the launch of an indigenous freelance platform for Pakistani professionals called Azadee.
Rozee built this platform by supporting 100,000 employers in Pakistan and 10 million skilled professionals and freelancers on the Rozee platform. The launch comes at a tough time for the economy, with inflation at its peak and companies closing or cutting jobs while additional supplies are in short supply.
“Despite Pakistan being the fifth largest country in terms of number of foreign freelancers, domestic freelancers are almost non-existent,” says Rahman. “Many freelancers have already joined his Rozee, and other professionals are also very skilled, allowing employers to post their projects, such as her Android app or logo creation. ”
Rozee said its employment data shows a 30% drop in hiring over the past 16 months. As business conditions become more challenging, Azadee allows companies to outsource projects to skilled professionals instead of hiring full-time workers, giving those professionals an additional source of income. It will be possible to support companies in finding workers.
Monis said the short-term hiring is already in place and makes sense in the current economic climate, so it won’t cannibalize Rozee’s existing hiring capabilities. “In fact, companies would be happy because they are already hiring on a full-time or contract-to-hire basis. Instead of hiring full-time employees to create Android apps, they could hire skilled workers to freelance. We are now able to provide apps with
“Fintech platforms are reshaping the freelancing landscape in Pakistan by providing virtually limitless opportunities for both freelancers and businesses. This platform enables employers to replenish their workforce and continue to grow with lean budgets,” said Shahid Kazi, CEO of Rozee.
In addition to being a platform that connects professionals and companies for freelance projects, Rozee also guarantees payment when the project is completed and concludes a formal contract between the parties.
The launch of Azadee comes alongside the launch of Rozee’s financial wellness platform Rizq, which Rahman calls a super app for freelancers and professionals. Through the Rizq app, professionals and freelancers can save, invest and manage their money.
Some of the features of the Rizq app allow professionals and freelancers to invest in mutual funds, join ROSCAs (more commonly known as committees), and access loans through Rozee’s partner financial institutions. You will be able to access it. The Rizq app also allows you to find a side hustle through the Azadee platform.
“We believe Mr. Azadi will be a shot in the arm to boost an economy that is slowing down due to cash flow constraints,” Monis Rahman said. “We believe that through freelance relationships, we can generate significant economic activity by reintroducing talented professionals and employers to each other. Many will become entrepreneurs, attracting international projects and much-needed foreign exchange.”
